Connection at the Heart of Every Journey

Our Story

I’m Ana Monteiro‑Arnout, born and raised in Portugal in a very Portuguese family. Even so, I’ve always felt like a citizen of the world. Since 2020 I’ve been living in the Netherlands with my Dutch husband and our two children. Little by little, I fell in love with the quiet canals, small villages, and everyday life here.

I love meeting people and I love to travel, so I wanted my work to reflect that. That’s how ELO was born. In Portuguese, ‘elo’ means ‘connection’. My tours are about creating that connection—between you, the places we visit, and the stories I share.

Why Tour with ELO

Private, Personal, and Deeply Local

01

Small, Private Groups

Each tour is for up to four guests. There’s time to ask questions, follow your curiosity, and enjoy the day at your own pace.

02

Real Local Stories

I first showed Marken, Volendam, and Haarlem to friends and family. Now I share the same local stories, small details, and favourite spots with you.

03

Sustainable and Thoughtful

We travel by electric car and keep the groups small. The idea is simple: enjoy more, rush less, and treat every place and person with respect.
